Painting Journey with Farg Design Studio: DK1 Hostel, Koh Samui
One of our most memorable projects took the Farg Design Studio team on a long journey from bustling Bangkok all the way to the beautiful island of Koh Samui in Surat Thani province. Our mission: to paint a feature wall and design a brand-new sign for DK1 Hostel, a charming spot welcoming travelers from around the world.
For this project, our team members — Jannis, Wa, and Gun — worked closely together, starting from creating the mural concept and sketching designs, to finally bringing the artwork to life on site. It was not just about painting walls; it was about adding character and story to a place that hosts countless memories for its guests.
What made this project truly special was the warm welcome we received from the hostel owner, who made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Beyond the creative process, it became an inspiring experience of connection, collaboration, and learning from the local atmosphere.
In the end, this project didn’t just leave color on the walls of DK1 Hostel, but also left lasting impressions and valuable experiences for our entire team.
